For dog owners
How does PawSpot work?
Browse private dog fields near you, pick a date and time slot, pay securely online, then turn up and let your dog run free. Each field is privately rented for your session only — no shared time with strangers.
How much does it cost?
Prices are set by field owners and typically range from £10–£25 per hour. The price you see is the price you pay — no hidden booking fees.
Are the fields safe and fenced?
Every listing tells you exactly what's there — fencing, water, parking, agility equipment, lighting and more. You can filter your search by what matters for your dog.
Can I bring more than one dog?
Yes. Each field has a maximum number of dogs per session set by the owner. You'll see this on the listing before you book.
How does the loyalty programme work?
Earn Paw points on every booking, redeem them for discounts on future ones:
- Standard: 2% back
- Silver (5+ bookings): 3% back
- Gold (15+ bookings): 5% back
1 point = 1p. Points can cover up to 90% of a future booking.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe — any card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your card details are stored by Stripe (PCI compliant), never by PawSpot.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel from your dashboard. Cancellation policies are set per-field by the owner and shown on the listing.
Can I leave a review?
Yes — after your booking ends you'll be prompted to rate it. Only verified bookers can review.
Do I need to add my dog's details?
Optional. Adding them (breed, size, age, notes) saves time later — especially when we add groomers and other services. Field bookings work fine without it.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Card details live with Stripe, not us. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed; reviews you've left are anonymised and kept so field owners don't lose their social proof.
For field owners
Do I need to replace my current booking system?
No. PawSpot works alongside your existing setup. Keep your website, current bookings, and regular customers exactly as they are. PawSpot simply gives you another place to be found and booked through.
I already have my own website — why would I join?
That's great — and you should keep it. Think Airbnb for holiday cottages or Booking.com for hotels — those owners still have their own sites. PawSpot brings you new customers who'd never have found your website on their own.
How does PawSpot avoid double-bookings?
We support iCalendar (iCal) sync — the same open standard used by Airbnb, Booking.com, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. You can export PawSpot bookings into any calendar app, and import your existing bookings so unavailable slots stay blocked automatically.
How much does it cost to list?
Free.We take 5% of each booking as the platform fee, and a further 5% goes into the loyalty rewards pool. No monthly subscription, no setup fees, nothing if you don't get bookings.
How do I get paid?
You connect your bank via Stripe (same as Airbnb, Uber, Deliveroo). When a customer books, the money is split automatically:
- You receive: ~87%
- Stripe card fee: ~1.7% + 20p
- PawSpot platform fee: 5%
- Loyalty rewards pool: 5%
Funds arrive in your bank within 2–3 working days.
What about insurance?
Insurance is the field owner's responsibility. PawSpot does not provide insurance and takes no responsibility for ensuring your field is insured or compliant with any laws, regulations or local requirements that apply to it.
You are responsible for making sure your field has appropriate cover — typically public liability insurance — and meets any local rules.
We strongly recommend public liability insurance for your field. Many UK owners use specialist providers like NFU Mutual, Cliverton or Protectivity. We're happy to share general guidance once you sign up, but the responsibility for arranging and maintaining suitable cover stays with you.
Can I still take direct bookings?
Yes. PawSpot is an additional channel, not your only one. You stay in full control of how you run your field.
What if I'm already busy?
Many owners use quieter weekdays, winter months, or last-minute cancellations to generate extra income. You control availability and open only the slots you want.
How do I list my field?
Sign up, click "List Your Field", fill in details (photos, location, pricing, hours, amenities, rules). Free to list.
Do I lose money when customers redeem loyalty points?
No. You receive your full share of every booking — your take-home is the same whether the customer pays cash or redeems points. The rewards pool is funded by the 5% taken from every booking, so when a customer redeems points the discount comes from the pool, not from your share.
Can I choose my own pricing?
Yes — pricing, opening hours and availability are entirely yours.
Do I need to be there for every booking?
No. Customers book online, pay online, and let themselves in via your gate code or access system. You're only involved if something goes wrong.
How do I set my availability?
Set opening/closing times, slot duration (30 min / 1 hr / 1.5 hr / etc.), and max dogs per session. The system auto-generates bookable slots and prevents double-bookings.
Can I block specific times?
Yes — block individual slots in your dashboard, or sync your calendar to import busy times automatically.
What if a customer damages my field?
Your terms can include a deposit or damages policy that customers agree to when booking. Customer reviews are also coming, so other field owners get an informed picture.
Can I list more than one field?
Yes — one account, unlimited fields, all in the same dashboard.
Why join the waitlist now?
Founding field owners shape the platform, get priority visibility at launch, and secure founder pricing in their first year.
What if I want to leave?
Delete your account any time from settings. We just ask you don't have upcoming bookings outstanding when you do.
