When we got Barney as our first puppy last year, we quickly discovered something frustrating…
Finding a great private dog field was easy.
Finding one available when we actually needed it was not.
Every booking turned into trawling through Google, checking loads of different websites, comparing availability, and wasting time — especially when we wanted something last minute.
Surely there had to be a better way.
So Sam (software engineer), Becky (digital marketing), and Barney (Head of Barketing 🐾) decided to build one.
PawSpot is the platform we wish existed — one place to discover dog fields, dog-friendly places, and better adventures with your dog.

What we're building toward
The first job is the one PawSpot does today: find and book secure private dog fields across the UK. That's our foundation.
From there, we want PawSpot to become the platform you open every time you're planning anything with your dog, dog-friendly cafes, walks, groomers, holiday lets that actually welcome dogs (not just “tolerate” them).
We're a small team and we're moving carefully. The platform fee that owners pay (10%, half of which goes back to dog owners as Paw points) is what makes it sustainable. No ads, no data sales, no venture-backed growth-at-all-costs.
